Annual Meeting

Each spring, we hold an annual meeting that draws academic communities, authors, historical societies, and non-profit organizations together for the purpose of share their experiences and research on regional history topics that span Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

WTHA's newsletter includes news from around West Texas, highlights current research activities and publications, and provides profiles of our membership.

The West Texas Historical Review

The WTHA Yearbook began publication in 1925. Published annually, the Yearbook contains peer reviewed articles and book reviews as well as other information about the organization. In 2014, the name of publication was officially changed to the West Texas Historical Review (WTHR).

Awards, Scholarships and Grants

WTHA offers a number of awards, scholarships and grants supporting research, publication, student scholarship, and non-profit work that preserves the history and legacy of West Texas
